Help to Get Online

Thanks to Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Digital Inclusion Initiative, in conjunction with Assurant, Vodaphone & Lloyds Bank Academy, another group of local people are now online and connected!

Over the last six months, nineteen people who use services at Kensington Fields Community Centre have received a free Lenovo tablet and 40mb of free data.

Adam from Lloyds Bank Academy came along this afternoon and showed the latest group how to set up their device, how to stay safe online, use email and add useful Apps.

We asked a few of the people what being connected now means for them……..

My grand daughter lives down South, don’t see her as much as I used to, but now I will be able to make video calls regularly and keep in touch with all her news.
— Paul
I am a volunteer and it means I can receive emails and other important information from the organisation I volunteer with instead of getting all my paperwork posted out, now I can safely save all the documents I need.
— Ronnie
My daughter has recently gone away to university and we no longer have a laptop at home, this tablet will be great for doing all the things I need to do like online banking, saving money by doing online shopping and managing bills. It’s fantastic being back online.
— Sarah
I am a carer for my elderly Mum, this tablet means I can order her repeat prescriptions and organise her hospital appointments. It’s brilliant!
— ANON

Thank you Adam from Lloyds Bank Academy, Assurant, Vodaphone & and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Digital Inclusion Team for making this happen!

We will be running another session in the Autumn, look out for details of how to join the next one.
