What We Do

We listen and we guide

Whether you just want to have a chat or if you are looking for advice, we are here to listen and help wherever we can. From debt and money worries…… to health and wellbeing, let us help you on your way.

Just a few examples of what we can help you with are:

  • Money worries / debt advice

  • Support for parents

  • Community led housing

  • Signposting help

  • Neighbourhood listening

As we like to say, the kettle is always on. So, if you’re not quite sure what support you need, just come and have a chat over a brew!

We help keep you connected

One of our favourite things to do is bring our neighbourhood together. We have some amazing classes, clubs and days out that you can be part of, so come join us at our:

  • Community drama group

  • After school club

  • Holiday play schemes

  • Seasonal events (Christmas, Easter, Halloween)

  • Days out

  • Crafts, gardening and health clubs

Keep an eye on our news section and follow us on social media to see what else we’ve coming up.

We help our people grow

Growing and learning is such an important part of our lives. We are proud to run some amazing programmes here at KFCA including:

  • ESOL reading groups

  • School literacy sessions & reading for pleasure

  • IT support & help getting online

  • Volunteering - learning new skills or sharing knowledge

  • Homework club and school project resources

We also team up with some great partners to bring these and other learning sessions to our neighbourhood.

We also offer food support!

Another big part of what we do is supporting our community to access affordable & good quality food and groceries through the KFCA pantry which is open to everyone in Kenny.

We also provide emergency food support in times of crisis, run family food nights and older & vulnerable persons lunch clubs….. to help make sure no one in our community goes hungry.

We are proud to help educate around healthy eating with our cookery classes for both kids and adults, and by offering relaxing growing activities in the centre’s garden.
