Launch of Kensington Fields Community Land Trust
Kensington Fields Community Land Trust is a new member-led organisation of local people working together to improve green spaces, create homes at affordable rents and to hold land & property on behalf of the community.
On Saturday 26 March (11:00 - 3:00) the community will be coming together to celebrate the launch of KFCLT with a community clean-up of the small garden on Renfrew Street, a family litter pick around the neighbourhood and the creation of some new local history artwork made by children & young people on the side of KF community centre led by Zap Graffiti There is free food for everyone who volunteers to help.
There will also be an opportunity to meet and talk with the KFCLT steering group members, to find out how you can get involved and for you to share your ideas and aspirations for the neighbourhood. Everyone is welcome.
This work is kindly supported through the Innovation in Communities grant funding from Liverpool City Region combined authority. between now and the end of May 2022 we will be improving further small sites with planting & seating, increasing the number of green spaces in the area for people to use and providing better conditions for biodiversity. Look out for further news here and on KFCA social media.
A new website is coming soon for KFCLT - but in the meantime you can keep up to date through their Twitter account @KennyFieldsCLT
