Pickling Workshops 2026

We've been getting ourselves into a bit of a pickle here at Kensington Fields Community Association - but in the best possible way!

Over the past couple of months, we've been running pickling workshops, bringing local people together to learn new skills, share knowledge and explore different ways of preserving food.

Our workshops, ran by our Allotment Coordinator, have provided a fantastic opportunity for participants to get hands-on in the kitchen, learning about the process of pickling and how everyday vegetables can be transformed into something delicious that can be enjoyed later.

Preserving food through pickling is a traditional skill that has been used across different cultures and generations. By sharing these techniques, we hope to encourage people to think creatively about food, reduce waste and develop practical skills they can use at home.

It's been lovely to see people coming together, sharing ideas and enjoying the process of creating something themselves.

A big thank you to everyone who has joined us for our workshops so far. We can't wait to see what else we can get ourselves into a pickle with!

If you missed our pickling workshops, don't worry – there's plenty more happening! Follow @kennyfieldsallotment on Instagram to keep up to date with upcoming workshops, activities and opportunities to get involved. We hope to see you at one of our next sessions!
