Kenny Fields Warm Welcome Days (Winter 2023)

Once again, we are opening the doors to the community centre on extra days between November 2023 and March 2024 to provide a warm and welcoming space where people can come to have a cuppa, free hot food, socialise and enjoy some free activities.

We have the following activities & support planned:

  • Board games, bingo & card games

  • Film afternoons

  • Quizzes

  • Slow cooker, bread making, healthy baking & air fryer cooking workshops

  • Boules in the back garden (weather permitting) and Bocce indoors

  • Get Online sessions

  • Local history talks

  • Shared reading group / book club

  • Intergenerational community meals for socially isolated & vulnerable people

  • Food packs during periods of particularly bad weather

  • Home deliveries for disabled & vulnerable pantry customers who can’t get out

  • Food for families eligible for free school, who attend our term-time afterschool & homework club

  • Hot food at our older persons lunch club rather than just sandwiches

  • Food packs to support people with health-specific dietary needs e.g. diabetics

Check out our notice board and social media for details of what is happening on which days.

Feel free to suggest any other activities you’d like us to provide or if you can offer/facilitate an activity we’d love to hear from you too!
