Celebrating 50 years of Kenny Fields

Trustees & Members of Staff cutting the cake

Over one hundred VIP guests joined us on 10 May 2025 to celebrate 50 years of Kenny Fields.

Members of our over 55s lunch club, children who come to our afterschool group & kids library, families who benefit from our HAF school holiday program and weekly pantry members joined Trustees, staff, volunteers, supporters & donors, and local neighbourhood stakeholders to mark five decades of activities at Kensington Fields Community Centre.

KFCA Deputy Chair of Trustees, Lisa Ryan, opened the event and guests also heard from Leader of Liverpool City Council, Liam Robinson who thanked KFCA for the great work that they do, and also expressed his support for the new facilities which are expected to open in 2026/27.

Sue Robinson, Centre Coordinator also said “KFCA have operated the centre since 1999 but the building has been open since the mid 1970s, providing a broad range of vital services and activities.    Today is about joining together to celebrate our wonderful community and also looking ahead to the next exciting phase in our development as we look forward our new building and expanding what we can offer to local people”

We were delighted to have the celebration filmed for us by Colin McPherson - thank you Colin. You can view the video here
